Vehicle Insurance

Motor/Vehicle insurance - belongs to the non-life insurance segment II (so-called other personal insurance and property insurance) specified in the Act of 22nd May 2003, on compulsory insurance, the Insurance Guarantee Fund and the Polish Motor Insurers' Bureau. The Civil Code is also one of the basic sources of law regulating motor insurance. The issue of motor insurance is related to land traffic using motor vehicles. It covers the protection of the risks of persons who are exposed to such traffic as well as personal and material losses, including civil liability.

It includes two types of motor insurance:

• Compulsory insurance: civil liability insurance (so-called civil liability insurance)
• Voluntary insurance, such as auto casco (so-called AC insurance), accident insurance for drivers and passengers of motor vehicles (so-called accident insurance), motor assistance insurance, legal protection insurance, insurance of medical expenses abroad, luggage and personal belongings of insured persons.
